On the afternoon of October 11, 2026, Russian occupation forces carried out another terrorist attack on Kharkiv using guided aerial bombs (KABs). The Nemyshlyanskyi district of the city was targeted, with direct hits recorded on civilian infrastructure and the residential sector.
Details of the Attack and Destruction in Nemyshlyanskyi District
According to local authorities, the strike hit the territory of a car service station (CSS) located near private houses. As a result of the powerful explosion and subsequent fire, two private residential buildings were completely destroyed, and about 15 other houses sustained serious damage due to the blast wave. Several cars on the service station grounds also caught fire.
Victims and Rescue Operation
Emergency services promptly arrived at the scene to eliminate the consequences of the strike and clear the rubble. Initially, it was reported that a person had been rescued from under the ruins of a destroyed house. Later, regional and city military administration officials clarified the tragic data: a 35-year-old woman was extricated from under the rubble. Despite the best efforts of medics who arrived at the scene, the woman died from her severe injuries.
Context of Regular Shelling in the Front-Line Region
This attack is part of a systematic campaign of strikes against Ukraine's civilian objects. Just a day prior, on October 10, enemy drones attacked the Kholodnohirskyi and Slobidskyi districts of Kharkiv, damaging a medical facility among other targets. Concurrently, massive terrorist shelling continues to target other regions of the country, notably Zaporizhzhia, where drones destroy residential apartment buildings, leading to numerous civilian casualties.
