Early Wednesday morning, July 29, air raid sirens sounded in Ryazan. The local population was woken up at 04:30, and soon unmanned aerial vehicles were detected over the city. The situation quickly spiraled out of control: from 05:20, videos of explosions and thick black smoke rising over industrial zones began to flood social media and Telegram channels.
According to OSINT communities and local sources, the attack targeted critical infrastructure. Two major facilities were hit simultaneously: an oil refinery and the logistics complex of the Wildberries marketplace.
Fire at Wildberries Warehouse
The most detailed information concerns the retailer's facility. The fire broke out at the "Ryazansky" Industrial Park. Visually, the sorting center is engulfed in flames, with thick smoke billowing from the windows and breaches in the roof. The company reacted quickly to the incident. Closer to 6 a.m., Wildberries officially announced restricted access to the "Ryazan: Tyushevskaya" sorting complex.
"Access to the sorting complex is temporarily restricted. Please do not come to the warehouse yet. We will provide further updates when operations resume," the company's press service stated.
Strike on the Refinery and Government Response
The second target of the attack was the local oil refinery. While the exact name of the enterprise has not been disclosed, eyewitnesses confirm large-scale fires in the city's industrial zones.
Pavel Malkov, the regional governor, confirmed the occurrence of fires on industrial territories. According to him, the fires were caused by falling debris following the drone attack. Details regarding casualties and exact material damage have not yet been released, but the scale of the fire in the photos indicates the severity of the incident.
