Sunday morning, August 2, turned into a new large-scale catastrophe for the fuel infrastructure of Bashkortostan. Residents of Ufa are massively posting footage on social media of a powerful fire in the city's Northern industrial zone, where massive plumes of toxic black smoke are rising above oil refining facilities.
According to OSINT monitoring, during the current attack, a long-range Ukrainian AN-196 "Lyuty" kamikaze drone successfully traveled more than 1,500 kilometers from the border and struck the technological lines of the "Bashneft-UNPZ" plant. Witnesses report a series of explosions and active burning of one of the units.
The head of the republic, Radik Khabirov, officially confirmed the fact of a new massive attack on regional enterprises, stating that air defense and electronic warfare forces suppressed at least 25 unmanned aerial vehicles in total. According to preliminary data from emergency services, the technical personnel has been promptly evacuated, and there are no casualties at the site of the impact.
Due to the ongoing air threat, Rosaviatsiya urgently implemented Plan "Carpet," completely blocking the Ufa airport from accepting and departing aircraft.
Systematic destruction: the strike on "Rosneft" continues
This raid is a direct continuation of the SBU strikes on Saturday, when heavy damage and fires were recorded at the parallel "Bashneft-Ufaneftechim" site. The Ufa oil refining complex of "Rosneft," with an annual capacity of 23.5 million tons of raw materials, is one of the largest strategic centers for the production of motor and aviation fuel in the country.
The leadership of the Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation (CPD) has officially confirmed that the sequential and coordinated strikes on the Ufa cluster are intended to critically reduce fuel supplies to ensure Russian offensive groupings. The goal of the operation is the complete cessation of operational activities of the surviving capacities of the complex.
