Personnel changes have occurred within the structure of the Ukrainian defense industry. The supervisory board of the state enterprise 'Ukrainian Defense Industry' announced the launch of a competition for the position of General Director. This decision follows the departure of the company's previous head, Herman Smetanin.
Who is leading the holding while a successor is sought
Until the completion of the competitive procedures and the appointment of a permanent head, the duties of the General Director will be performed by Sergey Boev. The appointment of the interim manager was announced by the 'Ukroboronprom' press service, and the information was confirmed by RBK-Ukraine.
Experience of the interim head
Sergey Boev is a figure well-acquainted with the internal processes of the industry. His professional background includes key positions in public administration and the defense sector. In particular, he held the posts of Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries and Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
During his career, Boev was responsible for the development of the country's defense industry complex and also supervised issues of interaction with international partners. Such experience is considered a significant asset for managing one of the largest industrial holdings under current challenges.
