According to RBC-Ukraine, the production capacity of Ukraine's defense industry could reach $60 billion per year by the end of 2026, while available funding covers only a portion of this potential, leaving factories underutilized.

Ukraine has scaled up production of the 'Bogdanka' SPH to 40 units per month, turning a one-off development into one of the largest serial production lines for 155-mm artillery in Europe.

The state invested 60 billion UAH in the fixed assets of the DIC, yet private manufacturers received no direct funding from that sum. According to NAUDI's assessment, it is the private sector that today outpaces the state sector in the volume of weapons deliveries.

Ukraine's defense industry is actively attracting the attention of foreign partners and establishing joint ventures with NATO companies, yet systemic barriers — from unpredictable state procurement to export difficulties — are holding back the inflow of long-term capital.

The production capacity of Ukraine's defense industry reached $35 billion per year by the end of 2025 and could grow to $60 billion by 2026. However, state funding covers only a third of the potential, and in the drone segment enterprises are capable of producing up to 8 million units annually without orders for the full volume.

Ukrainian DefenseTech has grown 55-fold and reached a potential of $55 billion. The Brave1 cluster offers Western manufacturers a "factory for 0 hryvnia" model, while the partnership with Airbus accelerates scaling.

In the first days of the invasion, Ukraine evacuated the Vyrva and Neptune missiles from a plant in the Zhytomyr region. These systems were used in the defense of the Kyiv region and against the fleet, and later became a tool for long-range strikes on Russia.
