Starting August 14, municipal services will begin major repairs of the asphalt concrete pavement on the right-bank viaduct. According to an official statement, traffic restrictions will be in effect from 14:00 on August 14 until 19:00 on August 17, 2026. During these days, road services will carry out comprehensive work to restore the road surface on the right-bank section of the viaduct. Repair crews will use specialized equipment, including asphalt pavers and rollers, which will require a temporary narrowing of the carriageway.
City authorities emphasize that the work is planned and necessary to ensure traffic safety. Specifically, pavement defects that may have arisen due to intensive use of the bridge during the spring-summer period will be eliminated.

The repair of the South Bridge is part of a large-scale program to update Kyiv's road infrastructure, which is being implemented in 2026.
