The Ukrainian capital has resumed full surface public transport traffic across the Pivdennyi (Southern) Bridge following a recent hostile drone attack. The incident caused severe logistical difficulties in the metropolis, but the prompt response of municipal services helped partially stabilize the situation on the roads.

Results of Initial Structural Inspections

According to preliminary official data from the specialized municipal enterprise “Kyivavtodormost,” experts conducted a detailed visual and technical inspection of the strategic facility. No critical damage to the load-bearing structures of the Southern Bridge was found, which allowed for the prompt restoration of bus services. Buses numbered 22 and 91 are already running along their regular and approved routes.

Restrictions on Metro Operations

Despite the restoration of car and bus traffic, the subway infrastructure remains partially blocked. In-depth engineering inspections of the underground structures continue on the crossing. Representatives of the Kyiv City State Administration promised to provide additional updates on when trains will be able to resume normal operations. Currently, the green line of the Kyiv metro operates in a truncated format: trains run only between the Syrets — Vydubychi and Osokorki — Krasnyi Khutir stations.

Contradictory Data

While Ukrainian specialized departments and city authorities report the prompt elimination of consequences and the absence of critical destruction after the two-drone attack, Russian mass media and Telegram channels spread diametrically opposed versions of events. In particular, pro-Kremlin sources claim that the strike was carried out by Geran-4 drones, reporting large-scale fires and allegedly severe destruction of the strategic transport hub, which is directly refuted by the Kyiv authorities and the findings of Kyivavtodormost engineers.

Parallel Attacks and Child Safety

In addition to the infrastructure strike on the bridge, the same day recorded an enemy drone hitting one of the city's educational institutions. At the time of the drone strike, 104 children and teaching staff were inside the school building. Thanks to the prompt actions of employees and the timely activation of alarm systems, all students and adults managed to descend into shelters, avoiding human casualties and injuries.
