On August 1, 2026, a serious incident occurred in the Kyiv region, resulting in human casualties and significant material damage. As a result of an attack on a logistics facility in the city of Brovary, one person was killed and six others were injured. Official data confirms that the strike hit the territory used by a major marketplace.

According to information provided by the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office and the State Emergency Service (SES), the incident occurred on Saturday afternoon. Around 11:28, the Air Force of Ukraine detected an air threat and sounded the alarm. Approximately 10 minutes after the warning, an explosion occurred on the outskirts of Brovary.
The target of the attack was a logistics complex. Visual materials published in open sources show damage to warehouse premises and parked vehicles bearing the ROZETKA company logo. According to the authorities, a 61-year-old man present at the warehouse was killed as a result of the detonation of the warhead of a unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
Consequences and rescue operations
Following the explosion, a fire broke out at the scene. SES rescuers responded quickly and extinguished the fire. As a result of the incident, 13 vehicles parked at the terminal were damaged.
Six people sustained injuries of varying severity. One of the injured was taken to a medical facility in critical condition with multiple injuries, while the others received outpatient care. The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office has initiated a criminal investigation under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the actions committed.
