Ukraine is in its strongest position since the start of the full-scale invasion and is fully ready for a peaceful settlement. This conclusion was drawn by the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, emphasizing that maintaining the current pace of action depends directly on the continuous support of international partners.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the statement of the Finnish leader. Stubb confirmed that he recently had a productive conversation with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. During the discussion, the parties discussed Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine and determined the next steps to achieve victory.
Key points of the conversation
Stubb's main conclusion was the understanding that success on the diplomatic and military fronts is impossible without constant assistance from the global community. The Finnish President expressed this thought as follows: "Ukraine's position is stronger than ever since the start of the war. Constant support from partners is crucial for maintaining the gained momentum. Ukraine is ready for peace".
Earlier, Alexander Stubb noted that the current situation has become the most favorable for Kyiv due to active strikes on targets deep within Russian territory. In his opinion, these actions have significantly changed the strategic approaches of Western allies, including the United States.
Future forecasts
The Finnish leader expressed confidence that Russia has suffered a complete failure in achieving its strategic goals. Stubb also emphasized that Ukraine will inevitably become a full-fledged member of the European Union and NATO.
Regarding the timing of active hostilities, the President of Finland predicts that the conflict may continue for several more months. At the same time, he considers a scenario of a direct attack by the RF on North Atlantic Alliance countries unlikely.
