Volodymyr Zelenskyy has proposed to the Rada to appoint SBU Major General Evgeny Khmara as Acting Minister of Defense. This decision became a compromise after the failure of Igor Klimenko's candidacy. Khmara is a veteran of "Alpha" and a fighter who participated in the battles for Kyiv and Donbas. 🇺🇦🛡️

Ursula von der Leyen congratulated Serhiy Koretsky on his appointment as head of the Cabinet of Ministers and promised full support for reforms in Ukraine 🇺🇦🤝🇪🇺. Brussels expects decisive steps in the areas of energy and the rule of law. Also, Zelenskyy will have to explain Fedorov's resignation to the EU.
