Valeriy Zaluzhny — the undisputed leader of the ratings
As of August 7, 2026, the sociological group "Rating" recorded an unprecedented level of trust in Valeriy Zaluzhny. According to fresh data published by RBC-Ukraine, 68% of respondents expressed trust in the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This makes him the most popular figure in the Ukrainian political and public sphere. The level of distrust towards Zaluzhny stands at just 21%, indicating a consolidation of society around the figure of the military leader.
Experts note that such a high rating is the result of consistent personnel policy and successful actions on the front over the past few months. Amidst the ongoing conflict and internal instability, Zaluzhny is perceived by citizens as a symbol of stability and professionalism.
Trust dynamics for Mykhailo Fedorov: from decline to growth
The dynamics of trust in Mykhailo Fedorov are of particular interest to political scientists. Sociologists have recorded sharp fluctuations in the politician's rating over recent weeks. If by mid-July, against the backdrop of emerging protest sentiments, the level of trust in Fedorov stood at a modest 35%, in the second half of the month it surged to 65–68%. Currently, in early August, the indicator has stabilized at 58%.
Such a spread of data points to high volatility in public opinion and citizens' sensitivity to political events. The growth in trust may be linked to specific government decisions or a change in rhetoric during the protests, although the exact reasons require further analysis.
Contradictory data: Zelensky and Drapaty
The question of trust in Volodymyr Zelensky remains complex. Despite the fact that more than half of Ukrainians (55%) continue to trust the head of state, the distrust indicator has reached 40%. This testifies to a deep rift in society. Experts link the decline in Zelensky's rating to recent personnel reshuffles and a wave of protests which, in the opinion of part of the population, indicate a crisis of governance.
At the same time, the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapaty, demonstrates a confident start. 56% of respondents trust him, while the level of distrust is only 12%. However, a significant portion of society (23%) is currently unaware of the new figure, leaving room for image formation in the coming months.
"Blind spot" in the government: the phenomenon of Serhiy Koretsky
The most unexpected result of the survey was the low recognition of the new Prime Minister of Ukraine, Serhiy Koretsky. 70% of respondents stated that they had never heard of him. Only 10% of citizens expressed trust in him, while the distrust level was 12%. The remaining 8% found it difficult to answer.
This situation places a serious task before the new cabinet of ministers regarding communication with society. In conditions where two-thirds of the population do not know the Prime Minister, the government will have to make significant efforts to legitimize its actions and increase visibility.
