Critical support for the legendary battalion
National Guard soldiers of the legendary 'Svoboda' Battalion have received a new batch of FPV drones from the 'Ukrainian Team' volunteer headquarters. This was reported in the organization's social media messages and confirmed by materials from RBC-Ukraine. In conditions where FPV drones have become one of the main tools of warfare, timely equipment supply is a matter of life and death for units on the front lines.
Head of the volunteer headquarters Artur Palatny emphasized that the received drones will be used to carry out combat tasks in one of the hottest directions of the front. "These are the heroic guys who, from the first day of the full-scale invasion, defended and liberated the Kyiv region, Bakhmut, and Sievierodonetsk. And today they are fighting the enemy on the hottest Donbas direction," noted Palatny, expressing confidence that the new equipment is already helping to bring victory closer.
Scale of aid and current needs
Volunteers of the 'Ukrainian Team' regularly transfer equipment and gear necessary for combat operations to the armed forces. Since 2022, more than 600 generators, chargers, and power stations have been sent to the front. The total volume of aid transferred amounts to almost 1,900 tons worth more than 500 million hryvnias.
However, the need for FPV drones remains critically high. According to representatives of the headquarters, the necessity for such devices grows with each day. FPV drones allow for targeted strikes on enemy equipment and personnel, making them an indispensable tool on the battlefield. In conditions where the Russian army continues to use mass attacks, having a sufficient number of drones becomes a key factor for success.
Contradictory data
Although volunteers and military personnel confirm the importance of FPV drones, there are different assessments of their effectiveness and quantity. For example, one source mentions that Ukraine uses twice as many FPV drones on the front lines as Russia. However, other data indicates that the Russian army is also actively increasing the production and use of similar devices. This creates a complex situation where both sides strive to gain an advantage in the air.
Future plans and prospects
Volunteers of the 'Ukrainian Team' plan to continue supplying equipment and gear to the front. In particular, they have already met an important need of the 'Artan' special unit of active operations. This indicates that volunteer organizations play a key role in providing the armed forces with necessary resources.
In the context of ongoing hostilities, volunteer support becomes even more important. It is thanks to their efforts that Ukrainian troops can effectively resist the enemy and defend their territory. The FPV drones transferred to the 'Svoboda' Battalion will become another step towards victory.
