A sudden change in weather conditions is forecasted in Ukraine. Tomorrow, July 19, meteorologists warn of the possibility of dangerous atmospheric phenomena in several regions of the country. Despite the air warming up to +31°C in some places, residents can expect rain, thunderstorms, hail, and gusty winds.

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, the most difficult situation is expected in the western regions, as well as in Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, and Odesa oblasts. On these days, forecasters predict moderate, and locally heavy, precipitation.

In certain areas, the following are not ruled out:

  • Intense thunderstorms;
  • Hail;
  • Wind gusts with speeds of 15–20 m/s.

No precipitation is expected in the rest of the country.

Temperature and wind forecast

The wind will be predominantly southern, however, in the western regions, its direction will change to north-western. The speed of airflows will be 7–12 m/s.

The temperature background will be uneven:

  • Night: from +13°C to +18°C, on the coast of the seas the air will warm up to +21°C.
  • Day: in most regions the temperature will be +26...+31°C. In the western regions it will be cooler — from +22°C to +27°C.

Weather in Kyiv and the region

The capital region also falls into the zone of unstable weather. In Kyiv and Kyiv region, tomorrow variable cloudiness is expected. No precipitation is forecasted at night, however, during the day, local short-term rains and thunderstorms are possible.

Temperature regime in the capital region:

  • Kyiv region: at night +13...+18°C, during the day +26...+31°C.
  • Kyiv: at night +15...+17°C, during the day +29...+31°C.

Previously, forecasters had already warned about the probability of thunderstorms on the weekend, however, tomorrow promises to be the most active in terms of atmospheric dynamics.
