In the footage, bursts of automatic weapons fire are heard immediately before the device sharply loses altitude and crashes onto the sand.
Experts are trying to determine the cause of the malfunction. A representative of the Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT) and OSINT analyst Kirill Mikhailov suggest that the drone may have been damaged by Russian air defense systems. The sudden change in flight trajectory appears atypical for normal movement and may indicate external interference, although the video does not capture the moment of a direct hit.

An analysis of the published footage indicates that the drone crashed in close proximity to the "Rassvet" recreation base. This facility holds strategic significance as it is a branch of the NPO Mashinostroyeniya, one of the key enterprises in the Russian rocket and space industry.
The incident in Arkhipo-Osipovka occurred against the backdrop of a large-scale night drone attack on southern Russia. On the same day, August 3, a major fire broke out at the Vladimir Shukhov Belgorod State Technological University in Belgorod. Previously, the university had reported developing drone control systems and training specialists in this field.
