A tragic story is unfolding in the Odesa region, resulting from another Russian drone attack. The Podilskyi district came under fire, where two young children were injured as a result of the shelling. According to Oleksandr Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the victims were a 12-year-old girl and her 6-year-old brother.

Condition of the injured

Both children were urgently hospitalized at the regional children's hospital. Doctors diagnosed them with shrapnel wounds. The health conditions of the victims are assessed differently: doctors describe the 12-year-old girl's condition as severe, while the 6-year-old boy has a moderate injury. Currently, medical personnel are providing all necessary care to the children and fighting for their health.

Context of the attack

This incident occurred against the backdrop of an escalating situation in the region. As RBC-Ukraine recalls, today, August 1, a Russian drone already hit a multi-story building in the center of Odesa. The Odesa region is under constant pressure from combined strikes: the enemy uses both attack drones and various types of missiles.

Air raid alert mode

Due to the high density of attacks in the region, an unprecedented number of alerts is being recorded. At least 10 air raid alerts are declared daily in the Odesa region, which indicates the systematic nature of the aggression and creates extreme conditions for the civilian population.
