US President Donald Trump sharply criticized the leadership of Iran, accusing it of "incredible duplicity" and a refusal to sign peace agreements. The White House chief outlined his accusations in his personal Truth Social blog, stating that Tehran continues with "usual chatter" despite Washington's active attempts to establish a dialogue.
Accusations of a Double Game
According to Trump, the Iranian side is demonstrating contradictory behavior on the diplomatic stage. He claims that Iranian representatives are asking for a meeting, and in some cases, in his opinion, are literally "begging" for contact. However, as soon as negotiations are scheduled for the near future, Tehran publicly declares that it is not conducting any discussions and is working exclusively through intermediaries from Oman.
"They ask for a meeting, some would say 'beg,' negotiations begin scheduled for the near future, and they openly and proudly declare that they are not conducting any discussions, and they are dealing only with 'Oman'," the American leader wrote.
"Steel Wall" over the Strait of Hormuz
Trump paid special attention to the situation in this strategically important region. He refuted Iran's claims of control over the Strait of Hormuz, calling them lies. According to the US President, this waterway is already under the full control of the United States Navy.
Trump used the metaphor of the "United States Steel Wall" to describe the actions of the American fleet as an effective blockade that effectively limits Iran's capabilities in the region.
Ultimatum and the Nuclear Issue
In his statement, the head of state did not rule out a scenario of a full blockade of Iran. He warned that in the event of a refusal to sign a peace agreement or a demand for full capitulation, the US is ready to take tough measures. Trump emphasized that Washington intends to solve the problem that Iran has created over the decades.
Summarizing his position, the US President delivered a categorical verdict on the issue of Tehran's nuclear program: "Iran will never have nuclear weapons."
Context of Negotiations
Earlier, it was reported that Washington announced a new round of negotiations with the Islamic Republic. The Trump administration decided to abandon plans for new military strikes against Iran, betting on a diplomatic settlement of the conflict.
