Ukrainian company Tencore has disclosed the specifications and key features of the new MAT1LDA unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), designed for movement on both land and water. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing an official company statement. The public presentation of the vehicle is part of a broader initiative: the complex has joined a new unmanned systems ecosystem, which was showcased in early October 2026.

Amphibious Vehicle for Two Environments

The robotic amphibious platform was developed by the Ukrainian company NODRICS. It features an 8x8 wheel layout and is powered by an internal combustion gasoline engine, ensuring autonomy and operational range without external power sources. To overcome water obstacles and navigate marshy terrain, special pontoons are installed on the sides of the vehicle to enhance buoyancy and stability afloat.

Payload Capacity and Range

According to the developers, MAT1LDA is capable of transporting up to 500 kg of cargo on land and up to 400 kg on water. The claimed travel range of the complex is up to 160 km on land and up to 50 km on water. In the designers' view, these parameters allow the amphibious vehicle to be used for logistics tasks in environments where land and water routes alternate.

Open Frame Flexibility

Among the structural advantages, the developers highlight the open frame, which allows the platform to be rapidly adapted for various tasks. Depending on the mission, MAT1LDA can carry cargo containers as well as evacuation stretchers, expanding its application spectrum from supply missions to medical evacuation in hard-to-reach areas.

Context: Ecosystem and Global Trends

The market introduction of MAT1LDA comes amid active global development in unmanned ground technology. Earlier reports indicated that the Croatian Komodo UGV by Rheinmetall underwent bridge-laying trials in September 2026. Additionally, it was reported that the 3rd Army Corps airdropped a UGV from bombers into the rear of the enemy for the first time globally. Against this backdrop, the Tencore/NODRICS amphibious platform is positioned as a solution for mixed routes where the key constraint is not only terrain, but also water obstacles.
