The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has approved a new procedure for calculating incentive payments for members of the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, and special purpose units. The relevant orders were signed by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ivan Vygovsky. The documentation has been submitted for state registration to the Ministry of Justice.

According to the ministry, the new regulations introduce a differentiated reward system based on the complexity, danger, and results of combat missions. Under the experimental project, the maximum total amount of payments in certain cases may reach 460,000 hryvnias per month.

Monthly Payment Tariff Grid

The new rules provide for a clear division of reward amounts depending on the place of service and the functions performed:

  • 170,000 hryvnias per month — for performing tasks directly on the line of combat contact.
  • Up to 100,000 hryvnias per month — for direct participation in combat operations. The payment is calculated proportionally to the time of actual participation in combat operations.
  • 70,000 hryvnias per month — for performing tasks on other sections of the front within the limits of a company support point.
  • 50,000 hryvnias per month — for service at command posts.
  • From 15,000 to 30,000 hryvnias per month — for military instructors.
  • Up to 10,000 hryvnias per month — for other categories of military personnel.

Lump-Sum Payments for Combat Successes

In addition to monthly allowances, a system of daily bonuses for specific tactical results is introduced:

  • 40,000 hryvnias per day — for capturing enemy positions.
  • 20,000 hryvnias per day — for recovering lost positions.
  • 100,000 hryvnias — for each enemy representative taken prisoner.
  • 15,000 hryvnias — for eliminating the enemy during small-arms or hand-to-hand combat.

Effective Dates

Ivan Vygovsky noted that after the completion of the state registration procedure and the official publication of the documents, they will enter into force. The calculation of payments will be made retroactively — from June 1, 2026. Previously, starting from July 2026, military personnel performing duties outside combat zones have already received an additional reward of 10,000 hryvnias.
