Ukrainian defense forces carried out a large-scale operation to strike strategically important objects on Russian territory. According to information announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, strikes were launched using long-range weapons against the Krasnodar and Stavropol regions, as well as targets in maritime areas.
Logistics and Oil Under Attack
The main vector of the attack targeted facilities ensuring the functioning of the Russian military machine. Logistics centers responsible for supplying components for unmanned aerial vehicles, navigation equipment, and other military gear were hit.
In addition to warehouse complexes, another oil depot in one of the southern regions was struck. The attack on fuel and energy infrastructure aims to create logistical gaps and complicate the work of rear services.
Strikes on the "Shadow Fleet"
A significant part of the operation took place in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas. Ukrainian defenders destroyed a tanker and four bulk carriers which, according to Kyiv, belong to Russia's so-called "shadow fleet".
These vessels are used to transport oil bypassing official routes and international sanctions. Destroying such targets inflicts direct economic damage and blocks sales channels for Russian energy carriers.
Massive Fires in the Krasnodar Region
On the night of July 22, the aftermath of drone strikes was recorded in the Krasnodar region. In Krasnodar itself, a large fire broke out at the logistics center of the Wildberries marketplace. Also, according to preliminary data, an oil depot was hit in Armavir.
These events continued a series of attacks on the region's infrastructure. Earlier, on July 21, soldiers of the "Black Forest" artillery reconnaissance brigade struck the "Khalino" airfield in the Kursk region, destroying a MiG-29 fighter jet and a "Pantsir-S1" anti-aircraft missile-gun system.
Kyiv's Position
Commenting on the events, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is "quite rightly bringing the war home — to Russia". The head of state emphasized that Kyiv has already conveyed all proposals to the Russian side for ending the conflict.
"Peace is needed, and Ukraine has given the Russian side all proposals. We must force them to move to diplomacy," wrote the President, linking military pressure with the need to stimulate negotiations.
