Across the rest of Ukraine, no precipitation is expected, with mostly variable cloudiness prevailing.
Precipitation and Thunderstorms in the West
The most challenging conditions will develop in the west. In Zakarpattia and Prykarpattia, heavy rain and even thunderstorms are possible in places, so residents of these regions should stay alert and, where possible, avoid open areas and trees during a thunderstorm. The wind will be predominantly northwesterly throughout the day, at 5–10 m/s, which, combined with frontal activity, may intensify the feeling of bad weather in the western regions.
Temperature Contrasts
The night turned out to be relatively warm: in most regions, temperatures ranged from +10 to +15°, while along the sea coasts the air warmed up to +19°. During the day, thermometers will climb to +20…+25°. It will be hottest in the south and southeast of Ukraine, where temperatures will reach +26…+31°. Thus, on the very same day, the country will see rainy, cool western regions sitting side by side with a truly summery south.
Weather in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast
In Kyiv Oblast on September 11, variable cloudiness and mostly dry weather are expected; only in the southern part of the oblast a brief rain passed overnight. Nighttime temperatures in the oblast were +10…+15°, with a daytime forecast of +20…+25°. In Kyiv itself, the night was +13…+15°, and during the day the air will warm up to +22…+24°. For the capital, this means a comfortable but humid day after the nighttime precipitation, with no significant rain.
