On Wednesday, 9 September 2026, the next round of matches in the round of 32 of the Ukrainian Cup was played on the pitches of Ukraine. On this matchday, several pairs contested their places in the next round, and each match told its own story — from confident wins by Premier League representatives to dramatic penalty shoot-outs.

Kozak's hat-trick: EpiCenter dealt with Carbon without any problems

The main event of the day was the match between EpiCenter and Carbon, a Second League side. The team from the "tower", competing in the Premier League, secured a calm and confident victory, and its star was Artem Kozak. The striker completed a hat-trick that proved decisive for the club's passage into the round of 16. In photos from the match, Kozak is captured in a pink kit with the number 59 on his back — it was in this very outfit that EpiCenter took to the pitch on that day.

Alexandria snatched a win in the penalty shoot-out, Virt suffered his first defeat

No less intriguing was the Alexandria — Probii pairing. Vladimir Sharana's team only managed to progress via a penalty shoot-out, as Probii forced the opponents into an even contest. A special element of interest was the coaching debut: Yuri Virt had taken over Probii literally on the eve, and this match was his first in the new role. The result — a first defeat for the new coach, although his side lost only in the extra "punishment" from the eleven-metre mark.

Novyi Razdil came from behind at home against Agrotekh

The third match of the matchday ended in favour of Novyi Razdil, who hosted Agrotekh at their own ground. The hosts started the game badly: in the first half they conceded five minutes before the break and went into the interval trailing. However, in the second half Novyi Razdil completely turned the match around, scoring three goals and securing a confident victory. Thus, the team became yet another participant in the round of 16 of the Ukrainian Cup.

Tournament continues: who else will play in the round of 32

On the same day, 9 September, the match between Phoenix Mariupol and Zorya began, with the teams contesting a place in the next round. The final match of the matchday — Polissia against Kudrivka — was scheduled for 18:00. The Zhytomyr club was considered the clear favourite even before the opening whistle: just a week earlier Polissia had celebrated a crushing victory over the same opponent. On 10 September another match will take place — Kyiv's Dynamo will host Vinnytsia's Niva. The round of 32 stage will be completed on 16–17 September, when the final six matches will be played.

Who is already in the round of 16

It is worth recalling that the first participants in the round of 16 of the Ukrainian Cup were Kryvbas and Sarny's Mayak. Now they have been joined by EpiCenter, Alexandria and Novyi Razdil. Thus, by the middle of next week the picture of the quarter-finalists will be almost formed, and the fight for the Ukrainian Cup, sponsored by BETON, will enter its decisive phase.
