The Defense Forces of Ukraine between October 2 and October 3, 2026, carried out a series of successful targeted strikes on key military facilities of the Russian army. According to official data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the operations were preceded by careful reconnaissance, which helped identify priority targets involved in supporting and coordinating the enemy's offensive actions.

Geography and Priority Targets of the Strikes

In particular, in the Donetsk area, a storage, preparation, and direct launch site for attack unmanned aerial vehicles was successfully hit. Such objects are considered priority targets by the Ukrainian command, as the systematic destruction of UAV infrastructure aims to reduce the intensity of strikes on peaceful cities and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.

Strikes on Border Infrastructure and Logistics

Furthermore, the military operations affected the border territories of the Russian Federation and logistics arteries in temporarily occupied areas. Thus, in the area of Nova Tavolzhanka in the Belgorod region, an enemy command post was attacked, and in the area of Voznesenovka in the same region, Ukrainian units struck a logistics supply depot of the Russian troops.

Wide Geography of Strikes and Strategic Context

At the same time, strikes were recorded in other strategic zones. In the area of Novoschevatoye in the Donetsk region, a crossing over the Mokri Yaly River was hit, and in the area of Gromovka in the Kherson region, an occupiers' repair base was targeted. These actions continue the trend of recent large-scale attacks, including the recent hit on Europe's largest oil storage facility, LPSDS "Samara", and warehouses of the "Rubicon" unit.
