Ukrainian Armor company, in cooperation with industrial partners, has unveiled a deep upgrade of the well-known Novator 2 armored vehicle. The main innovation is an integrated remotely controlled combat module of Ukrainian manufacture, equipped with advanced targeting and aiming devices. The presentation of the new product has generated significant interest among military experts and security forces representatives, as the development is designed to radically increase the firepower and safety of crews on the frontline.

Technical Specifications and Module Capabilities

The new combat module is armed with a proven 12.7mm Browning machine gun with an ammunition load of 300 rounds and 360-degree rotation capability. The turret's design is engineered so that the operator can reload the weapon without leaving the protected armored hull of the vehicle. For accurate firing at any time of day, the complex is equipped with an advanced Archer TSA 7/75 thermal imaging system and a high-resolution ATN X-SIGHT 5 5-25X digital scope.

Polygon Test Results

During demonstration tests at the training ground, the modernized armored vehicle demonstrated impressive combat effectiveness results. The accuracy of hits on targets at various distances ranging from 100 to 1000 meters reached 90%. In addition, during testing, the vehicle successfully performed firing on the move against ground targets and demonstrated the potential for countering unmanned aerial vehicles.

Scaling and Integration Prospects

According to representatives of the Central Directorate of Innovation Activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the presented remotely controlled module has already passed research tests and is at the final stage of official codification. An important structural advantage of the development is its versatility: the module can be installed not only on the Novator chassis but also adapted for other common combat platforms, such as M113 tracked armored personnel carriers and Soviet BRDM-2 vehicles.
