Ukrainian Railways is turning travel into a cultural event. In anticipation of the VI International Literary Festival "Frontera" in Lutsk, "Ukrzaliznytsia" is launching a special high-speed train. This is not just a means of transport, but a true literary express that will connect the capital with the northwest of the country.
Logistics in support of culture
The decision to launch an additional flight was made in connection with the holding of a large-scale event in Lutsk. The "Frontera" festival, which traditionally combines literature, music, stand-up, media and diplomacy, has received logistical support from the state carrier. To ensure comfortable transfer for guests and participants, a separate high-speed "Intercity" train No. 755/756 has been added to the schedule on the "Kyiv — Lutsk" route.
The technical side of the issue
To carry out this task, "Ukrzaliznytsia" has deployed Hyundai Rotem rolling stock. This became a forced but effective measure: the usual daily Skoda train for this route is currently undergoing scheduled repairs. Its return to service is scheduled only for the end of the year. Therefore, during the peak period of the festival, passengers will have to travel on a modern train of South Korean production, which is distinguished by high speed and comfort.
Atmosphere on board: poetry and gifts
The organizers of the flight tried to make the trip unforgettable by incorporating elements of the festival itself. Passengers of the "Frontera Express" will be able to enjoy "poetic pauses" — live poetry readings will take place on board the train. This turns the time in transit into part of the cultural program.
In addition, in each carriage of the Saturday "Kyiv — Lutsk" flight, passengers are waiting for pleasant surprises. Literary gifts will be laid out on random seats, which will become a pleasant bonus for all who wish to touch the atmosphere of the festival even before arriving in Lutsk.
