The railway carrier «Ukrzaliznytsia» has announced the launch of a new route aimed at significantly improving logistics in western Ukraine. Starting July 16, passengers can expect a modern, upgraded railbus connecting Lviv, Lutsk, and Rivne. This initiative is designed to expand transport options between Lviv and Volyn regions, making travel more comfortable and faster.
Route Launch and Ticket Sales
Information regarding the launch of the new route was officially confirmed in the carrier's Telegram channel. According to the company, the new service will begin operations in mid-July. For passengers planning their trips, ticket sales are fully open. Tickets can be purchased both at traditional railway station ticket offices and via the «Ukrzaliznytsia» mobile app in the special «long-distance» section.
The company has also asked travelers to rate the quality of service after their journey. Passenger feedback is collected directly through the mobile app, allowing the carrier to respond promptly to comments and improve service levels.
Context of the Carrier's Network Development
The launch of the modernized railbus fits into the overall strategy of «Ukrzaliznytsia» to expand and improve its services. Recently, the carrier presented three new children's carriages; however, the rules for free travel for minors have their nuances. Conditions depend on the route: rules differ for trips within Ukraine and for international crossings abroad.
Special attention is paid to passengers traveling with pets. For those traveling with "four-legged friends," special requirements apply. There are clear instructions regulating the process of transporting animals, including the need to provide certain certificates and comply with conditions depending on the size of the pet.
Cultural Initiatives and New Routes
The railway operator continues to actively develop not only passenger but also cultural directions. In particular, it was recently announced that an additional literary train, Frontera Express, would be launched. This special service will connect the capital with Lutsk, which will be an important event on the eve of a large-scale cultural festival in the northwestern region. Thus, «Ukrzaliznytsia» demonstrates its readiness to adapt its network to various societal needs—from fast logistics to cultural exchange.
