On August 8–9 in Kyiv, at the VDNH grounds, a major event will take place, uniting the Ukrainian music scene, electronic music, theater, and visual arts — the festival «Viriy. Prostonieba». This is not just a concert, but an immersion into the atmosphere of uninhibited ethno, wildness, naturalness, and freedom, where every visitor becomes part of a living artistic canvas.

Who will perform at the festival

The organizers have prepared several stages where famous Ukrainian artists will present their performances. Among them — Sviatoslav Vakarchuk, the band Vopli Vidopliassova (together with Oleksandr Skrypka), The VYO, NAZVA, Maryna Krut, Vivienne Mort, and other bright names of the modern Ukrainian scene. The festival will become a platform for dialogue between tradition and modernity, where music intertwines with visual art and theatrical installations.

Dress code: ethno as a lifestyle

The main formula for the look at «Viriy. Prostonieba» is uninhibited ethno. The organizers urge guests to abandon restrictions and choose clothing that emphasizes naturalness and freedom of movement. Loose cuts, wide sleeves, natural fabrics, and elements reminiscent of traditional Ukrainian attire are welcome.

Recommended materials include linen, hemp canvas, and other breathable fabrics. Special attention should be paid to embroidered shirts, dresses, tunics with traditional collars, and light silhouettes that do not restrict movement.

Accessories and details: from necklaces to body painting

To create a complete look, the organizers suggest adding accessories with nature motifs: necklaces (herdany), dukach, amulets, talismans, and floral elements. Body painting, glitter, fringe, and feathers are equally important — everything that strengthens the connection with nature and the cultural code.

Clothing should be practical — the festival takes place outdoors, and comfort is no less important than aesthetics.

Brands and stylists: who helps create the look

Ukrainian brands and stylists have joined the creation of the festival aesthetic, offering their interpretations of the ethno-style:

  • SLAVNA.UA presented shirts with an emphasis on traditional embroidery, where plant ornaments become the main detail of the look.
  • Formus prepared a selection of stylizations combining modern cuts with ethnic elements — trousers, t-shirts, dresses, and skirts can be combined with Ukrainian motifs.
  • TONiA offers ethnic looks in the boho-chic style, where lightness and romance meet folk traditions.
  • Hellena ROVER, a style expert, advises paying attention to natural fabrics, natural shades, and textures. According to her, comfortable shoes and well-thought-out accessories will help complete the look.
  • REVÉRIA knitwear offered interesting options for knitted items that harmoniously fit into the general aesthetic of the festival.
