Ukrainian blogger and participant of the show "Vid patsanky do panyanky" Vlada Rogovenko has spoken out publicly for the first time following reports of her detention in the United States. According to data released on October 20, the incident took place on October 11 in Florida, and the next day the police in the city of Sunrise detained the blogger. In documents reviewed by American resources, she appears under the surname Kolesnichenko; the records indicate a suspicion related to domestic violence, as well as federal immigration custody.

"I knew I would wake up famous"

After the news of the detention spread through the media, Rogovenko recorded a video message reacting with irony to the sudden attention directed at her person. "I straight up knew I would wake up famous. I just didn't realize how much," she said. The blogger promised to share details about all the circumstances later, and for now limited herself to a brief explanation of how, according to her, events unfolded.

The blogger's version: from a restaurant argument to being handed over to ICE

According to Rogovenko, the conflict began after she published a video on her Telegram channel in which she spoke emotionally about relationships. Then the father of her child came to the restaurant to "sort things out." "We were talking there on a very high tone, and someone from the staff apparently called the police," the blogger explained, acknowledging that at the time both were in a state of alcohol intoxication. According to her statement, the police took her in to clarify the circumstances, and the case itself was closed within a single day.

Further detention, according to Rogovenko's version, is no longer connected to the restaurant incident, but to immigration issues. She stated that after the proceedings concluded, she was handed over to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) because the validity of her documents, as she claims, expired about a year ago. "The case was closed, and I was handed over to ICE because my documents had expired a year ago," the blogger said. At the same time, she did not report whether American authorities made any decision regarding her further stay in the country, and merely hinted that she hopes to be released soon.

What is known about the children

Separately, Rogovenko addressed subscribers who were worried about her three children. According to her, they are all staying with her mother, who is helping to care for them. The blogger confessed that she was most worried about the potential separation of the children from the family: "Thank God that my mother is here and my children are with her now." She suggested that in the absence of a mother, social services might have taken the children, which would have been a severe psychological ordeal for them, and added that the family constantly stays in touch with their relatives via video calls.

Reaction of the entourage

After reports of the detention appeared, questions from subscribers also started pouring in for Rogovenko's friends. Blogger Vlada Thompson urged followers on Instagram Stories not to jump to conclusions; it was on her page that Rogovenko's video message later appeared, though the recording was subsequently deleted. The blogger's godmother, Stasya Makeyeva, published screenshots of numerous subscriber messages and stressed that she did not consider it right to publicly disclose details of someone else's situation without Rogovenko's permission. Makeyeva also criticized Telegram channels that spread details of the detention and suggested that the information could have been leaked to outsiders from the inner circle, without providing evidence.
