On July 29, the weather in Ukraine will be uneven: rain and thunderstorms are expected in parts of the territory, while the majority of the country will be under the influence of an anticyclone. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the forecast of meteorologist and forecaster Natalka Didenko.
Storms and Dry Weather: What to Expect on Wednesday
According to the expert, the remnants of a cold atmospheric front will cause brief precipitation and thunderstorms in certain regions. At the same time, the main territory of Ukraine will be in a zone of dry air — just like most of the European continent, where an anticyclone dominates.
During the day, the wind is expected to be northwesterly. The average temperature across the country will be +22…+25°C. It will be coolest in the northern regions — around +20…+22°C.
Kyiv: No Precipitation, but Cooling at Night
Precipitation is unlikely in the capital. During the day, the air temperature will reach +22…+23°C, and at night, according to the forecast of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center (UkrGMC), it will drop to +15°C.
Heat in August: Prepare in Advance
"The end of July and the beginning of August will bring real heat to Ukraine; take this into account," warned Didenko. She advised checking fans and air conditioners in advance, stocking up on water, and choosing light clothing made of natural fabrics.
The forecaster also reminded people of the importance of caring for animals in high temperatures and urged them to pay close attention to weather forecasts.
Debunking Rumors of Anomalous Heat
Earlier, forecasters debunked circulating online reports of allegedly abnormally high temperatures in August. UkrGMC clarified that the last month of summer will be hot, but within the climatic norm.
