Ukraine's national postal operator, Ukrposhta, has officially determined its pricing policy for delivery services during peak loads and festive sales. Ahead of the fourth quarter, the company's management made a principled decision to freeze current rates.
Decision to Freeze Tariffs
According to Igor Smiliansky, CEO of Ukrposhta JSC, in his Telegram channel, the company will not revise parcel delivery tariffs until the end of the current year. This decision is designed to support domestic small and medium-sized businesses, owners of online stores and warehouses, many of whom have been severely affected by regular shelling and a difficult economic situation. The management of the postal giant emphasizes that the fourth quarter is traditionally the most critical period for the e-commerce sector, when the highest sales of the year are recorded.
Supporting Customers During Sales
In preparation for a series of autumn and winter holidays—including Black Friday, St. Nicholas Day, and New Year holidays—freezing tariffs will allow citizens and entrepreneurs to save significantly. According to the company's head, consumers will be able to direct more funds directly to purchasing gifts for loved ones rather than logistics costs. In addition, Ukrposhta continues its course toward digital transformation, offering clients quick online contract execution in just three minutes without paperwork and queues.
Contradictory Data
It is worth noting that against the backdrop of the moratorium on basic tariffs, experts and mass media are actively discussing recent changes in the company's pricing policy introduced last summer, as well as new shipment formats such as Standard and Express tariffs. Some analysts point out that despite the freeze on main prices until the end of the year, certain service categories and additional options were previously adjusted, raising discussions among the postal operator's regular corporate clients.
New Digital Opportunities for Business
In addition to maintaining previous prices, the postal operator has significantly simplified the procedure for concluding partnership agreements. Now, signing an agreement with Ukrposhta can be done automatically via the internet, with the system pulling the necessary data independently. The only exceptions are agreements with cash-on-delivery services, where the requirements of the National Bank of Ukraine mandate an expanded package of documents.
