Xiaomi has officially launched its new budget fitness band, the Smart Band 11 Active, on the global market. The device is positioned as an affordable gadget with a basic set of features for health and physical activity monitoring. The new model is already on sale in Europe, and the manufacturer highlights its record battery life for the segment as its key advantage. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing Xiaomi Global data.
Design, dimensions and color options
The device features a plastic body with protective glass and is available in three color options: Black, Grey and Pomelo Pink. The body dimensions are 43.5×25.8×10.2 mm, and the weight without the strap is just 18 grams, making the band light and unobtrusive on the wrist. The strap is made of an elastic material with a classic hole-based fastening system.
Display and functionality
Instead of a more expensive AMOLED panel, the Smart Band 11 Active is equipped with a 1.47-inch TFT display with a resolution of 172×320 pixels. This is a compromise solution that allows the device's cost to be reduced while maintaining interface readability. The band supports 50 sports modes and is compatible with Android and iOS smartphones. The built-in optical PPG sensor provides 24/7 heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen level (SpO2) measurement, sleep quality analysis, stress level tracking and a women's cycle calendar.
Battery life and water resistance
The main selling point of the new model is its 300 mAh battery. In maximum power-saving mode, the device can last up to 21 days on a single charge, while under standard daily monitoring the battery life is around 8 days. The body's protection meets the ATM 5 standard, which allows for swimming in a pool. However, the manufacturer warns against using the gadget in a sauna, under a hot shower, or while scuba diving.
Prices and availability
The new model is already on sale in Europe. In Poland, the band costs 139 zloty (about 38 dollars or 1,700 hryvnia), while in Eurozone countries the price is expected to be around 40 euros. Thus, the Xiaomi Smart Band 11 Active firmly occupies the lower price segment of fitness trackers, competing on the basis of long battery life and a wide range of sports modes at a moderate price.
