The official wording issued by Ukrainian bodies characterizes the animated series as content that spreads pro-Russian narratives in the format of a children's product. Experts, citing materials from the Center for Countering Disinformation and the Institute of National Memory, point to certain episodes and symbols that, in their view, carry an ideological load. On August 20, 2026, decrees were signed introducing personal sanctions against the founder of the studio, a number of screenwriters and directors, as well as legal entities, including the studios 'Animaccord', 'Masha and the Bear', and 'MiM'; the package of measures included the freezing of assets and restrictions on the use of copyright objects, which provided grounds to demand that international platforms terminate access to the channels within Ukraine's jurisdiction.
