A major event is being prepared in Kyiv that could determine tactical and strategic decisions for the coming period. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has announced the holding of a special session of the Stavka of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. Unlike regular meetings, this gathering will involve direct commanders of combat corps and the main arms manufacturers.
The decision to hold a session in this format was made after the head of state heard reports from the heads of key directions. The meeting took place in closed session, but the main points have already become public knowledge.
Who reported to the President
The composition of the speakers indicates that the state's attention is focused on the front line and production capacities. The following participated in the session:
- Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi.
- Commander of the NPU "Azov" Corps, Denys Prokopenko.
- Commander of the NPU "Kharta" Corps, Igor Obolensky.
- Deputy Commander of the Air Assault Forces, Andriy Tkachuk.
- Acting Commander of the 19th Army Corps, Valeriy Skred.
Presidential Advisor Dmytro Lytvyn clarified the details of the process: Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with each commander individually, which allowed for a detailed analysis of the situation on specific sections of the front.
The Battle for Drones and Fiber Optics
One of the central agenda items was unmanned support. The Command of the Unmanned Systems Forces reported on the large-scale supply of drones to the front capable of operating at operational depth. This is critically important for reconnaissance and striking the enemy's rear.
However, as in any complex war, there are technical challenges. Problems in the production and supply of drones with fiber-optic control were discussed separately. It is precisely such devices that are most resistant to electronic warfare, and their shortage or supply failures can cost lives. The special Stavka session currently being prepared aims to eliminate these "bottlenecks" directly, without bureaucratic delays.
Human Resources and New Formats
The issue of personnel distribution was also raised at the highest level. During the session, the effectiveness of the program for the fair distribution of personnel between combat brigades, which has been in effect since December of last year, was noted. The system allowed for the optimization of mobilization and reinforcement flows.
In addition, the experience of the "Kharta" brigade in attracting foreign volunteers was discussed. The methodology, which has proven its effectiveness, is planned to be scaled to other units. This opens up new opportunities for strengthening the combat readiness of the army through an international contingent.
Prisoner Exchange and Results
A separate block of discussion was devoted to the return of Ukrainian military personnel from captivity. As a result of the report, the relevant departments received corresponding instructions from the President. This is a signal that the work on the exchange is proceeding in priority mode.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that he is preparing a special Stavka with the participation of corps commanders and the main producers of weapons and equipment that are currently needed on the front. This approach allows for the synchronization of requests from the front line with the capabilities of the rear, ensuring the army receives exactly what is required right now.
