The situation in the Pokrovsk direction remains one of the most tense on the entire front. According to the 4th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Rubizh", Russian occupiers are actively preparing for new offensive operations, changing their tactics. Instead of standard mechanized columns, the enemy is betting on mobility, preparing for the mass use of light vehicles — ATVs and motorcycles.
Preparation for the breakthrough: demining and reconnaissance
Military units of the "Rubizh" brigade report that the enemy is conducting intensive aerial reconnaissance in their sector of responsibility. Russian forces are carefully studying the terrain to identify weak points in the defense and prepare routes for assault groups. A key stage of preparation has been the demining of advance routes. This indicates that the occupiers plan to use the high speed of light vehicles to attempt to break through Ukrainian positions.
The enemy's main objective remains advancing towards Dobropillya. Despite the concentration of efforts and preparation, Russian troops have not yet been able to realize their intentions. The forces of the "Rubizh" brigade demonstrate high efficiency, detecting and destroying the enemy in time even before they reach the defensive lines.
Repelling a large-scale assault
This week, combat operations on this section of the front reached a peak. Soldiers of the "Rubizh" brigade were involved in repelling a large-scale mechanized assault. Together with the forces of the 1st Corps of the National Guard "Azov" and adjacent units, Ukrainian defenders managed to successfully thwart the enemy's attack.
During fierce fighting, Ukrainian troops inflicted significant damage on the occupiers' equipment. According to the brigade, as a result of repelling the attack, one armored fighting vehicle and an MTU-72 bridge-layer were destroyed. Fighters also participated in destroying other units of enemy equipment, preventing the enemy from consolidating on captured sections.
"Total air terror" and bombardments
The Pokrovsk direction remains a zone of constant threat. Since May, Russian troops have begun massive bombardments of Dobropillya, using aviation and drones to strike populated areas and defender positions. The area near Belozersk is of particular danger, having turned into an arena for so-called "total air terror." Here, Russian drones are hunting supply routes, trying to disrupt the logistics of Ukrainian units.
Despite constant attacks and attempts to break through, the Ukrainian defense holds the front, preventing the occupiers from achieving strategic goals in the region.
