There is a sharp increase in activity by the Russian army on the Pokrovsk direction. The enemy is concentrating efforts on preparing for new large-scale offensive operations, with the main goal remaining the capture of Dobropillya. This is reported by the 4th Operational Brigade "Rubizh" of the National Guard of Ukraine.

New assault tactics

According to Ukrainian military data, Russian troops are changing their tactics for breaking through the defense. In the sector of responsibility of the "Rubizh" brigade, intensive aerial reconnaissance and attempts to clear routes of mines have been recorded. The enemy is preparing paths for the rapid advance of assault groups, planning to use ATVs and motorcycles for attacks. Such tactics are designed to ensure high mobility and speed of approach to the defenders' positions.

Despite careful preparation, Russian troops have not yet achieved their goals. Ukrainian units detect the enemy in a timely manner and destroy its forces even before they reach the defensive lines.

Repelling a mechanized assault

During the current week, soldiers of the "Rubizh" brigade participated in repelling a large-scale mechanized assault. Through joint efforts with the 1st Corps of the National Guard "Azov" and adjacent units, Ukrainian troops managed to thwart the attempt to break through.

In the course of fierce fighting, significant samples of Russian equipment were destroyed. Among the trophies and destroyed targets are an armored fighting vehicle and an MTU-72 bridge-layer. Ukrainian defenders also participated in the destruction of other units of enemy equipment.

Situation on other sections of the front

Although the enemy's main efforts are concentrated in the east, the threat remains on other directions. In particular, Russia does not give up attempts to create a threat in the north of Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously reported that the Defense Forces are preparing for various scenarios of events on the Chernihiv-Kyiv direction, relying on current intelligence data.

The "Rubizh" brigade summarized that servicemembers continue to monitor the situation and effectively counter the enemy's attempts to break through the defense, preventing the enemy from implementing plans to advance towards Dobropillya.
