According to sources close to the President, Zelenskyy has not yet found a replacement for this strategically important position. The main candidate on the head of state's list remains Yulia Sviridenko. The situation is complicated by the fact that this is a critical stage of the war and there is a need to build new relations with the Donald Trump administration.
Sources emphasize that the President continues to urge the former Prime Minister to take the ambassadorial seat, considering it a necessary step for Ukrainian diplomacy.
Change of Power in the Cabinet
Events are developing rapidly. On July 14, Yulia Sviridenko submitted her resignation from the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine. She made this decision after a conversation with Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday. As the reason for her departure, she cited the need to update the composition of the government.
The Verkhovna Rada promptly supported the resignation, which automatically led to a change in the entire composition of the Cabinet of Ministers. Already on July 16, the Ukrainian parliament appointed Serhiy Koretsky as the new head of the government. Immediately after this, a package of appointments for the heads of most ministries was approved.
