Sweden Lowers Age of Criminal Responsibility to 14: Parliament Votes for Tough Law on the Eve of Elections
The Swedish parliament lowered the age of criminal responsibility to 14 and raised the maximum sentence for minors to 18 years. The law will enter into force on 10 September, three days before the general election.
