#Dobropillia

On October 18, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced full control by the Armed Forces of Ukraine over seven settlements and refuted Valery Gerasimov's report on Russian frontline advances in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

The 1st National Guard Corps "Azov" completed an operation to clear the buildup of Russia's 90th Tank Division in the Dobropillia area. Enemy forces failed to reach the logistical routes for the encirclement of Druzhkovka; occupier losses — 237 killed.

After Mykhailo Drapatyi was appointed commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, no mass personnel purge took place, but the approach to promoting officers and delegating powers has changed. Russia is intensifying pressure on the Pokrovsk-Dobropillia axis and preparing a new campaign of strikes on the rear.

ISW has confirmed via geolocation an AFU advance south of Dobropillya near Vodiane. Simultaneously, a Russian advance southwest of Pokrovsk is confirmed, while Ukrainian counterattacks in the Kharkiv region have halted the enemy's offensive.
