According to Ukraine's SVR, Russian regions are redirecting funds meant for budget workers' pay raises to payments for new contract soldiers. In Yakutia the indexation was postponed, and in Rostov Oblast it was cancelled.

According to the NYT, based on confidential government audits, Ukraine lost about $1.2 billion in 2024 due to fraud and inefficient defense procurement.

🇨🇴 Colombia demands a review of the price for Gripen E/F fighters. New President Abelardo de la Espriella considers the 3.135 billion euro contract too expensive. 📉 Comparison with other countries shows a huge gap: Thailand pays ~138 million dollars per aircraft, Ukraine — 138.5 million euros. Colombia agreed to 184.4 million euros. 🇺🇸 The US may intervene in the deal due to American components in the fighters. ⚖️ The government conducted an audit and found no violations, but plans to review offset conditions rather than cancel the contract.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has expanded the list of positions for infantry-storming contracts. Now, commanders of UAVs and mortar units have joined the experiment. The changes concern companies and squads, but not artillery battalions. 🇺🇦🔫
