Pyongyang responded to the reduction of U.S.–South Korea exercises with a volley of ballistic missiles and a hardline statement by Kim Yo-jong, rejecting Washington's proposals and cementing the DPRK's nuclear status.

🚀 North Korea conducted its 11th ballistic missile launch in 2026. The launch from Wonsan took place on August 12; the missile traveled ~700 km and fell into the sea. This is the second launch in a week ahead of US-South Korea drills. Possible identification as Hwasong-11A (KN-23).
