The U.S. DOJ charged five members of a Russian intelligence network that recruited perpetrators of terrorist attacks in Europe and was preparing the assassination of a dissident in the United States.

Mourning wreaths bearing photographs of executives appeared simultaneously at the offices of defense companies RSI Europe in Lithuania and CSG in Czechia. Lithuanian police detained a Ukrainian citizen who, according to sources, may have been hired by a citizen of Belarus. Official Vilnius links the provocation to the methods of Russian special services.

Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Counter-Disinformation Center at the NSC, stated that the GRU — specifically Center 795, which reports to Valery Gerasimov — is responsible for sabotage and explosions at military facilities in the EU.

The Ukrainian Ambassador to Hungary stated that the case regarding the kidnapping of cash-in-transit guards is 95% solved and classified as terrorism. Personnel, vehicles, and funds have been returned, and deportation has been canceled.

German intelligence services thwarted an assassination attempt on Stefan Tumann, head of drone manufacturer Donaustahl. Two suspects acting on behalf of Russian intelligence were detained; surveillance had been conducted since the end of 2025. 🇩🇪🚓🚁
