The HACU selected a preventive measure in the form of 7 million hryvnia bail for former head of the Sens Bank supervisory board, Mykola Gladishchenko. He has five days to post the amount in the case involving the laundering of 150 million hryvnia.

Sense Bank has removed all officials who appear in the NABU materials and appointed Elena Zubchenko as acting head of the board. The former head is under bail, and the NBU found him non-compliant with the qualification requirements.

NBU Deputy Head Dmytro Oleinyk stated at a TIC session that not the entire volume of bail payments to the VAKS was processed through Sense Bank. The regulator identified other banks with comparable or more serious issues and is continuing four unplanned inspections.

On September 2, VAKS left Sense Bank head Stupak free on 15 million hryvnia bail in the "Forrest Gump" case. Simultaneously, the NBU demanded the Cabinet of Ministers terminate his authority due to an "opaque management structure."

Former PrivatBank head Gerhard Besch has joined the Supervisory Board of the state-owned Sense Bank as an independent member, replacing the removed Nikolai Hladyshchenko.

The NBU revealed the scale of supervision over the nationalized Sense Bank: more than 100 committee decisions, 21 referrals to law enforcement agencies, secret protocols, and unscheduled inspections following the publication of materials from the "Forrest Gump" operation.

Rostyslav Gladishenko, former head of the supervisory board of Sense Bank, refuted NABU's charges over a "manual" payment of 150 million UAH in the "Midas" case, calling them technically impossible.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved Natalia Degtyareva as a state representative on the Sense Bank supervisory board. Resolution No. 853 was adopted on 21 August; the board composition will grow to five members, but a quorum requires at least six.

Sense Bank added European banker Peter Novak to its supervisory board after the Cabinet of Ministers terminated the powers of a board member. Against the backdrop of the NABU investigation, the government also initiated the removal of the Chairman of the Board.

On August 25, the High Anti-Corruption Court is considering a motion on a preventive measure for Oleksiy Stupak, head of the board of Sense Bank. The SAP prosecutor is requesting his detention, with an alternative of 150 million hryvnia bail.

The SAO is asking the VAS to detain Sense Bank head Oleksiy Stupak with a 150 million hryvnia bail in the "Forrest Gump" case. The Cabinet of Ministers and the NBU have begun the procedure for his dismissal, and the court has already considered similar motions in this case.

Zelensky stated that he had not initiated the replacement of NBU head Andriy Pyshny, calling the bank an independent institution, but acknowledged sharp disagreements with the Ministry of Finance against the backdrop of the scandal around Sense Bank.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has changed the leadership of the supervisory board of Sense Bank and instructed the Ministry of Finance and the NBU to accelerate the bank's preparation for privatization. Proceeds from the sale will be directed to the needs of the Armed Forces.

Prime Minister Koretsky stated in the Verkhovna Rada that the Ministry of Finance has received an instruction to accelerate the sale of Sense Bank, but first, jointly with the NBU, must resolve accumulated problems. Proceeds from the deal will go to the needs of the Defense Forces, and a new head of "Naftogaz" will be selected through a transparent competition after the heating season.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky announced the intention to sell the nationalized Sense Bank, directing all proceeds to the needs of the Defense Forces. The process must be transparent and competitive.

The NBU found that Nikolai Hladyshchenko, chair of the supervisory board of Sense Bank, does not meet independence requirements and is demanding that the shareholder immediately terminate his mandate.
