The Cabinet of Ministers has exempted enterprises covering at least 80% of consumption through imports or their own generation from electricity outage schedules. The measure is designed to stimulate distributed generation ahead of a difficult winter.

People's Deputy Mykhailo Bondar warned that the blockade of the Chervonohrad BPP threatens the heating season. The Lviv court must appoint an independent manager to unblock the plant's operations and ensure energy security.

The appointment of former Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko as head of Naftogaz is being delayed due to legal risks and negotiations with independent board members, despite political support.
