The 225th Separate Assault Regiment has transferred to the operational subordination of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Troops. According to a source, the decision is of an organizational nature and is aimed at improving coordination between the command body and combat units at the front line.
Operational subordination, not permanent staff composition
As the publication's source explained, the transfer to operational subordination does not mean that the 225th Regiment has been incorporated into the permanent staff composition of the 7th Corps. This is specifically about operational command: the regiment will carry out combat tasks within the corps' area of responsibility under the control of its command. This mechanism allows the unit to retain its independence in terms of logistics and personnel, while bringing its combat tasks under a single command body on a specific section of the front.

In the new sector, it is reported that the servicemen have already carried out successful operations to clear the enemy in the defense sectors of the brigades, which, according to sources, confirms the effectiveness of the chosen subordination model.

It should be noted that it recently became known that the 425th Separate Assault Regiment "Skala" is temporarily not replenishing its ranks with new recruits — a corresponding decision was made by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is important for understanding the overall context: according to RBC-Ukraine, the scandal around the "Skala" Regiment erupted at the end of June following an investigation by the publication "Babel" into possible torture and deaths of mobilized soldiers.
