The Ukrainian Defense Forces have carried out a successful series of precision strikes against important military facilities of the Russian army in the temporarily occupied territories of the country. The operation was executed by various units on September 29 and during the night of September 30, 2026. The targets of the Ukrainian defenders included key elements of logistics, weapons storage, and enemy troop command.
Geography and Targets of the Strike
According to official information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the geography of the successful attacks covered several strategically important directions in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as in occupied Crimea. Specifically, in the settlement of Granitne, Donetsk region, a depot of unmanned aerial vehicles belonging to the Russian forces was successfully hit, which will significantly reduce the enemy's capabilities for aerial reconnaissance and fire adjustment. Simultaneously, in Lysychansk, Luhansk region, a command and observation post of one of the enemy units was destroyed by a missile and artillery strike.
Logistics, Repair, and Support
In addition to UAV depots and command posts, significant damage was inflicted on the rear infrastructure of the invaders. In Starobilsk, Luhansk region, Ukrainian military personnel hit a major repair base of Russian units, where damaged armored vehicles and transport were being restored. Additionally, productive strikes were recorded on enemy logistical storage facilities located in settlements such as Azovske, Mangush, Novoandriivka, and Volnovaha in the Donetsk region, as well as in the village of Kumove in the Crimean peninsula.
Contradictory Data
Despite the official confirmation by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the destruction of key military facilities, open sources and monitoring channels continue to gather detailed information on the scale of the destruction. Some independent analytical summaries indicate possible discrepancies in estimates of the total amount of damaged equipment and the degree of infrastructure destruction at individual logistics nodes, but the overall confirmed figure of successful hits on eight key targets in the temporarily occupied territories remains unchanged across all major reports.
Significance of the Operation for the Frontline
The conducted series of strikes logically continues the tactic of systematic exhaustion of the rear support of the Russian troop grouping. The destruction of logistical supply depots, repair bases, and command posts directly affects the combat capability of the invaders' units on the frontline. As experts note, over the past few days, Ukrainian defenders have not only successfully repelled local enemy attacks but have also significantly improved their tactical position in certain sectors of the front, reducing the enemy's offensive potential.
