Strikes on Radar Station and UAV Control Points
During combat operations, Ukrainian defenders successfully hit a modern Russian 39N6 «Kasta» radar station deployed near the settlement of Mangush in the Donetsk region. Such radar stations are actively used by the enemy to detect air targets at low altitudes. This incident coincided in time with recent diplomatic statements by former US President Donald Trump, who claimed he asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to «slow down» strikes on Russian oil refineries, to which the Ukrainian leader allegedly agreed. There are currently no official confirmations of a direct link between these political statements and the nighttime incident in Kuban.
Consequences for the Operational Situation
Massive strikes against radar stations, UAV depots, and rear supply bases will inevitably cause severe logistical difficulties for Russian groupings on the frontline.
