On the night of July 30, a key Russian logistics hub — the port of Taman in the Krasnodar Krai — was attacked by unmanned aerial vehicles. The operation resulted in massive fires and damage to port infrastructure, as confirmed by official sources.
According to the press service of the Southern Transport Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation, there are casualties as a result of the UAV strikes. The situation at the scene remains tense, and efforts to eliminate the consequences of the attack are ongoing.
Scale of destruction and satellite data
The NASA FIRMS satellite recorded at least 10 major fire hotspots within the port area. Visually, the scale of the disaster is obvious: a thick trail of black smoke rises into the sky and is visible even from Crimea. Fire has engulfed significant areas, and fire brigades are actively working to extinguish the flames.
The port of Taman is a strategically important object in southern Russia. Due to its geographical location, it plays a key role in logistics chains, ensuring the supply of petroleum products and goods to Crimea. Damage to infrastructure here deals a serious blow to the region's transport system.
Series of strikes on logistics and energy
The attack on Taman became part of a series of strikes on Russian infrastructure recorded in recent days. On the same night, July 30, Ukrainian FP-1 drones struck the logistics hub of the Wildberries marketplace in Penza.
The day before, on July 29, strikes were launched against the energy sector. Defense forces attacked the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez oil refinery in Perm. A direct hit and a fire were recorded on the territory of the enterprise. This is one of the largest refineries in Russia with an annual processing volume of about 13 million tons of oil. The plant produces fuel and aviation kerosene, including for the needs of the military-industrial complex.
Alongside strikes on rear infrastructure, Defense Forces struck the Primorsky Posad military training ground in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region. The sequence of these events indicates systematic work to strike key logistics and production nodes of the enemy.
