In Khmelnytskyi District, several enterprises have been damaged as a result of an attack by enemy unmanned aerial vehicles. This was announced by Serhiy Tyurin, head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, as reported by RBC-Ukraine citing his Telegram channel. According to him, the enemy drone attack on the region's territory has already ended, and during the air alert, air defense forces were actively operating in the region.

Course of the Attack and Air Defense Operations

According to the statement by the head of the OVA, the drone strikes on Khmelnytskyi District were repelled by air defense forces. Tyurin emphasized that during the alert, air defense actively carried out its tasks of intercepting enemy UAVs. Nevertheless, according to preliminary information, several enterprises on the territory of Khmelnytskyi District sustained damage as a result of the attack. The exact list of affected facilities and the extent of the damage were not disclosed at the time the statement was published.

Emergency Services Response and Clarification of Details

All relevant emergency and specialized services were dispatched to the scene to address the consequences of the strike. Serhiy Tyurin noted that details regarding the scale of the destruction and possible casualties are being clarified. This means that, at the time of the statement, no official information had been received about victims or injured civilians; however, final data on the aftermath of the attack is expected once the rescue and medical teams have completed their work.

Context: A Series of Strikes on Khmelnytskyi Oblast

The attack on Khmelnytskyi District was a continuation of a series of strikes on the region. On the evening of September 2, Russian forces attacked Khmelnytskyi District with drones: as a result of the enemy strike, fires broke out at a warehouse and in a truck, and one person was injured. In addition, on the night of September 5, the occupying forces delivered a ballistic strike on the "Kametsstal" plant in Kamianske. As of the morning of September 5, five people had been killed as a result of this attack, and the plant's operations were halted.

Systemic Threat to Civilian Infrastructure

Russian forces regularly strike civilian and critical infrastructure in Ukrainian oblasts, employing drones and ballistic weapons. The attack on enterprises in Khmelnytskyi District fits into this persistent trend: the targets of the strikes are increasingly not only military facilities but also industrial enterprises, warehouses, and transport infrastructure. Experts note that the combination of a drone attack and ballistic strikes within a few days on a single oblast indicates an attempt at the systematic suppression of the region's production capacity.
