DTEK, part of the business empire of Ukrainian entrepreneur Rinat Ahmetov, continues large-scale investments in the country's energy sector and the restoration of energy infrastructure following Russian attacks. In an official statement, the company emphasizes: “DTEK is the largest private investor in the Ukrainian economy. Four winters of this war. After every strike, we restore the light. We did not wait for better times, we did not put things off.” Thus, the emphasis is placed on the uninterrupted work of energy workers throughout the entire period of the full-scale war.

Four Winters of Continuous Restoration

DTEK notes that over four winters of the full-scale war, the company's energy workers have been restoring electricity supply after Russian strikes while simultaneously implementing new energy projects. According to the company's own statement, as a result of these efforts, a facility was built that DTEK calls the largest power station constructed in the world during a war. The capacity of this station, according to the statement, is sufficient to supply electricity to approximately one million Ukrainian households.

The Scale of Investments in Energy Grid Resilience

The investment context is confirmed by other publications as well: according to RBC-Ukraine, since the start of the major war, DTEK has invested 2.4 billion euros in the resilience of the energy system, as stated by the company's representative Timchenko. The acceleration of energy equipment deliveries to Ukraine in preparation for the winter season was also separately noted. The totality of these facts indicates that the restoration and modernization of the power grid have become a systematic, rather than a one-off, direction of the holding's work.

The Owner's Position and Recognition in Rankings

Rinat Ahmetov, commenting on the company's activities, emphasized: “We are doing a common cause. We are always with the country.” According to rankings by leading Ukrainian media, DTEK is recognized as the largest private investor in Ukraine. RBC-Ukraine has previously also published materials on who is directing private business funds where during the war and how these investments form the foundation for the future economic recovery.

Contradictory Data

Independent sources confirm the overall scale of DTEK's investments in the energy sector, the fact of infrastructure restoration after strikes, and the company's status as a major private investor. At the same time, certain quantitative and evaluative formulations — in particular, the exact figure of 2.4 billion euros and the claim of the “largest power station in the world” built during a war — are cited primarily in statements by the company itself and its representatives and have not received independent quantitative confirmation in verified sources. Therefore, these specific formulations should be regarded as DTEK's position, rather than as a verified external fact.

In conclusion, despite the need for cautious attribution of certain record-breaking claims, the overall picture remains consistent: over four winters of war, DTEK has been simultaneously restoring the damaged energy grid and building new facilities, positioning itself as a key private investor in the Ukrainian energy sector.
