Ukrainians will once again be able to go out in light clothing. Moderate heat is returning to the country today, replacing the cool days. However, forecasters warn: along with the warmth, short-term rain showers with thunderstorms are possible in some regions.
The weather forecast was compiled by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center. The data was confirmed by lead synoptic meteorologist Natalia Didenko.
Where precipitation and thunderstorms are expected
Despite the general trend towards warming, the weather will be unstable. On July 15, a yellow danger level (Level I) was declared in certain regions during the day. Forecasters predict thunderstorms in the following areas:
- Przemyśl region (Przemyśl);
- Transcarpathia;
- South-east of Ukraine.
At the same time, local rain is possible in the Carpathians, Vinnytsia and Cherkasy regions, as well as in the eastern part of the country. At night, fog may reduce visibility in the mountains and in the east.
Temperature forecast
Atmospheric pressure will gradually rise throughout the day. According to Natalia Didenko, by the end of the week, thermometer readings will rise again to the '30 degrees' mark in some regions.
"However, during the day, local rain showers will pass in the eastern part, in the Carpathians, Vinnytsia and Cherkasy regions. The rest of the territories will belong to dry and warm weather during the day," the meteorologist clarified.
Weather in Kyiv
The capital and Kyiv region will avoid precipitation on this day. Variable cloudiness is expected, which will create comfortable conditions for walks. The wind will blow from the north-west at a speed of 5–10 m/s.
Thus, Ukrainians should be prepared for changeable weather: during the day, most regions will be dry and warm, but in some areas, the possibility of short downpours and thunderstorm discharges should not be ruled out.
