On the morning of July 25, the city of Zaporizhzhia was once again struck by Russian aviation. As a result of the use of guided aerial bombs (KABs), civilians were killed and buildings were destroyed. According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, one woman was killed in the attack, and nine people, including three children, require medical assistance.
Warning and reality
The Ukrainian Air Force had warned residents of the region in advance of the threat of KAB use. Despite the alert, Russian forces launched an attack. Photos from the scene show the aftermath of the explosions: ruins of residential buildings, debris of structures, and dust and trash everywhere. People are trying to clear the rubble and assist the injured.
Series of attacks on the region
This is not an isolated incident in recent times. On the night of July 25, Zaporizhzhia was already subjected to shelling: a shopping center caught fire, and casualties were recorded. Even earlier, on July 23, the city was attacked by KABs, resulting in 25 injured people, damage to a medical center, a five-story building, and vehicles. On July 22, drones struck a food industry enterprise, leading to a fire and casualties among the staff.
Consequences for the population
Each new attack exacerbates the already difficult situation in the region. People are forced to live in constant tension, fearing for their lives and safety. The destruction of infrastructure, including medical facilities and residential buildings, makes life even more difficult. Authorities urge residents to observe safety measures and remain in shelters upon receiving air raid alerts.
